Apple Curry BBQ's Pork Chops

Marinade

¼ cup of unsweetened applesauce
2 tbsp of curry paste (we use Patak’s Mild Curry Paste)


1 lb of boneless pork chops or loins

1.     Mix applesauce and curry paste together and slather on pork.

2.    Marinade them for 2-24 hours.

3.    Preheat BBQ on high heat

4.    Reduce heat to medium high.

5.    Grill for 4-6 minutes on each side depending on thickness.

6.    Make sure that chops are no longer pink and that juices run clear.

7.    Let sit for about 5 minutes before serving

Crockpot Easy BBQ'd Ribs

1 rack of pork ribs
Easy BBQ Sauce (click here for the recipe)


1.     Cut ribs to fit in Crockpot

2.    Cover in Easy BBQ Sauce

3.    Cook on low 8-10 hours and high 4-7 hours

Fall off the bone good!

Turkish Spiced BBQ'd Meat Patties



2 pound of ground turkey
2 tsp of cumin
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
1/2 tsp of paprika
1/2 tsp of salt
1 tsp of curry powder
1 egg
2 tbsp of bread crumbs
 

1.   Mix ingredients together

2.    Preheat BBQ on high heat

3.    BBQ for 7-8 minutes a side on medium high heat. Make sure that they are cooked through; no longer pink and juices run clear.

4.    Let sit for 5 minutes before serving

5.    Serve with pitas or buns with tzatziki, cucumbers and lettuce.


 Serves 6-8.

Crockpot Ham and Lentil Soup

1 and ¼ cup of red lentils
3 stalks of celery chopped
2/3 cup of carrots chopped
½ of sweet onion chopped
2 cups diced cooked ham

1 tsp of garlic powder
½ teaspoon of basil
¼ teaspoon of thyme
½ teaspoon of oregano
¼ teaspoon of black pepper
32 ounces of water

1 chicken bouillon (We use Harvest Sun bouillon)*

 *you can replace 2 cups of the water and bouillon for 2 cups of low sodium chicken broth.


1. Dissolve bouillon in about 1 cup of hot water.

2. Add to Crockpot along with all the remaining ingredients.

3. Cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 5-7 hours.

Apple Cumin Pork Chops

Marinade

½ tbsp of garlic powder
1 tbsp of ground cumin
½ tbsp of chili powder
1 tsp of paprika
2 tbsp of apple juice
½ tbsp of oil

1.     Mix first 6 ingredients into a paste and slather on chops.

2.    Marinade them for 2-24 hours.

3.    Preheat BBQ on high heat

4.    Reduce heat to medium high.

Cuban Spiced Rice and Garlic Sausage

(Adaptation of Cuban Rice and Sausage due to food intolerances)
Rice Cooker Rice
½ of chicken bouillon (Harvest Sun Organic)
1  cup of water
1 rice cooker cup of rice (the cup that comes with cooker)

Spice Paste

1 tbsp of paprika
1 tsp of cumin
1 tsp of oregano
1 tsp of garlic powder
1 & ½ tbsp of apple juice
1 tbsp of oil

Remaining Ingredients

1 lb of Garlic sausage or coil cubed or sliced
1 small onion chopped
2 tbsp of water
1 small sweet pepper chopped

2/3 cup of chopped zucchini
½ cup of peas



1. Dissolve bouillon in 1 cup of hot water and place in rice cooker with rice and turn to cook. (Takes about 30 minutes for white rice and 45-50 minutes for brown)

2. Mix spices, apple juice and oil into a paste and set aside.

3. Brown sausage on medium hot heat in large pan or pot.

4. Once browned add water, spice paste and onions. Cook until sausage is no longer pink and onions are soft.

5. Added peppers and zucchini cooking until almost soft then add peas and heat through.

6. Add cooked rice from rice cooker, mix, heat and serve.

Crockpot Ranch Chicken

8-12 boneless, skinless chicken thighs or a pound of browned ground chicken
RanchSeasoning (Click for the recipe)
1/3-1/2 cup of water
4 oz of cream cheese


1.     Place chicken thighs/ground chicken in Crockpot

2.    Sprinkle chicken with ranch seasoning

3.    Pour water into Crockpot

4.    Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours

5.     ½ hour before serving stir in cream cheese
6.    Serve on rice or pasta with your favorite vegetable.
