Turkish BBQ'd Pork Chop

2 tbsp of olive oil
1 tbsp cumin
1 ½ tsp of paprika

1 ½ tsp of cinnamon
1 tsp salt
1 tsp of curry powder


1 lb of Pork Chops


1.     Mix together first 6 ingredients and slather on pork.

2.    Marinade them for 2-24 hours.

3.    Preheat BBQ on high heat

4.    Reduce heat to medium high.

5.    Grill for 4-6 minutes on each side depending on thickness.

6.    Make sure that chops are no longer pink and that juices run clear.

7.    Let sit for about 5 minutes before serving

What's in the Pantry Crockpot Chili

2 lbs of lean ground beef
½-1 tbsp of chili powder
1 tbsp of cumin
1 ½ cups of salsa
1 sweet pepper, chopped
1 can of black beans, rinsed
½ cup of frozen corn


1.     Brown ground beef with chili powder and cumin at medium- high heat and place in Crockpot.

2.    Add all remaining ingredients and cook on low for 6-9 hours or high for 3-5 hours.

Turkish Spiced BBQ'd Meat Patties



2 pound of ground turkey
2 tsp of cumin
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
1/2 tsp of paprika
1/2 tsp of salt
1 tsp of curry powder
1 egg
2 tbsp of bread crumbs
 

1.   Mix ingredients together

2.    Preheat BBQ on high heat

3.    BBQ for 7-8 minutes a side on medium high heat. Make sure that they are cooked through; no longer pink and juices run clear.

4.    Let sit for 5 minutes before serving

5.    Serve with pitas or buns with tzatziki, cucumbers and lettuce.


 Serves 6-8.

Apple Cumin Pork Chops

Marinade

½ tbsp of garlic powder
1 tbsp of ground cumin
½ tbsp of chili powder
1 tsp of paprika
2 tbsp of apple juice
½ tbsp of oil

1 lb of boneless pork chops or loins
1.     Mix first 6 ingredients into a paste and slather on chops.

2.    Marinade them for 2-24 hours.

3.    Preheat BBQ on high heat

4.    Reduce heat to medium high.

5.    Grill for 4-6 minutes on each side depending on thickness.

Crockpot Chili Verde

1 pound of browned ground beef
1 jar of Salsa Verde (Green Salsa found in the Mexican section of the store)
1 can of rinsed black beans
1 can of rinsed red kidney beans
2 chopped sweet pepper
1 small zucchini chopped
½ of sweet onion chopped
1-2 tbsp of chili powder
½ tbsp of cumin
1 tsp of oregano


1.     Add all ingredients to Crockpot and stir

2.    Cook for 6-8 hours on low or 2-4 hours on high

3.    Serve with buns and anything else you might like with your chili (grated cheese, dollop of sour cream, green onions)
