Beef, Potato and Cheddar Perogies

½ lb of ground beef
1 cup of potato’s cubed
½ cup of cheddar grated
2 tbsp of cream cheese
½ tsp of dill
Salt and pepper to taste
Perogy Dough


1.     Season ground beef with salt and pepper and brown on medium high heat.

2.    Boil potatoes in salted water until soft.  Drain and mash with cheddar, cream cheese and dill

3.    Mix potato mixture with browned ground beef and let cool.

4.    Check seasoning and make any adjustments.

5.    Follow instruction for Perogy Dough on how to cook them.

Asian Grated Carrot Salad

2 cups of grated carrot
¼ cup of Asian Ginger Salad Dressing (Click for Recipe)
1 tsp of fine chopped cilantro (optional)
1 tsp of fine chopped green chives (optional)


1.     Mix all ingredients together

2.    Refrigerate for 2 hours before serving

Asian Ginger Salad Dressing

1 garlic clove finely chopped
2 tbsp of ginger, grated
3 tbsp seasoned rice vinegar
¼ cup of soy sauce

½ tsp honey
1 tbsp of dark sesame oil
3 tbsp of oil
Pepper to taste



1.     Whisk all the ingredients together

2.    Let refrigerate for 2 hours before using

Pork Sloppy Joes

1lb of lean ground pork
1/3 cup of sweet onion, chopped fine
1/3 cup sweet pepper, chopped fine
½ tsp of garlic powder
1 tsp of mustard
1 can of diced tomatoes with green peppers and onion (Hunt’s)
1 tbsp of brown sugar
¼ cup of Ketchup
¼ tsp of cajun seasoning (Hye’s of Canada)
salt and pepper to taste

  1. Drain diced tomatoes and keep liquid
  2. In a blender or chopper, blend up diced tomatoes, garlic, mustard and brown sugar until the consistency of ketchup. (Add back any reserved liquid if needed)
  3. In a pan over medium heat, brown the ground pork, along with onions, and peppers.
  4. Stir in tomato mixture, ketchup, cajun seasoning and reduce heat to medium-low.
  5. Simmer for 30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve on buns.

Buttermilk Yogurt Ranch Dressing

Ranch Seasoning (click for the recipe)
1 cup of plain yogurt (we like Olympic 2%)
1 cup of buttermilk
1/2 tsp of salt



1.     Mix Ranch Seasoning with yogurt, salt and buttermilk.

2.    Refrigerate for about 2 hours or more before serving.
