Sometimes we need to make some changes to some of our favorite recipes for many different reasons. Here are some of the adaptations that can be made.
Chickpea Salad : Replace Lemon Dijon Viniagrette with Apple Dijon Viniagrette and add 1 tsp of honey.
Apple Cumin Pork Chops: Take the spice paste and rub it on a pork tenderloin roast and bake in the oven.
Apple Curry BBQ's Pork Chops: Replace the applesauce with plum jam or jelly.
Crockpot Ranch Taco Soup with Chicken Meatballs: Make it vegetarian by omiting the meatballs and instead of chicken broth use vegetable broth.
Crockpot Peanut Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps: You can replace peanut butter for soy bean butter or cashew butter.
Recipes calling for Salsa Verde can be replace with your favorite Salsa.

Apple Dijon Vinaigrette Dressing
1 garlic clove finely chopped
1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp of apple juice
1/2 tsp of dijon mustard
2 tbsp of olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste.

Apple Curry BBQ's Pork Chops
Marinade
¼ cup of
unsweetened applesauce
2 tbsp of
curry paste (we use Patak’s Mild Curry Paste)
1 lb of boneless pork chops or loins
1.
Mix applesauce and curry paste together and
slather on pork.
2.
Marinade them for 2-24 hours.
3.
Preheat BBQ on high heat
4.
Reduce heat to medium high.
5.
Grill for 4-6 minutes on each side depending on
thickness.
6.
Make sure that chops are no longer pink and that
juices run clear.
7.
Let sit for about 5 minutes before serving

1 tsp of paprika
2 tbsp of apple juice
½ tbsp of oil
½ tbsp of
garlic powder
1 tbsp of
ground cumin½ tbsp of chili powder
1 tsp of paprika
2 tbsp of apple juice
½ tbsp of oil

Mix first 6 ingredients into a paste and slather
on chops.
2.
Marinade them for 2-24 hours.
3.
Preheat BBQ on high heat
